He also has to take up the call of whether to join Magnus in her organization and go into her strange new world where there is a chance that he may find answers to questions that have troubled him since childhood. He also possibly does have psychic powers. An Abnormal had killed Will’s mother and it was Dr. Magnus who had saved his life and hence had a track of him, ever since he was a child.
